We have an exciting opportunity for a YOUTH MARKET FUNDRAISING DIRECTOR to cover Memphis,TN and surrounding counties. The successful candidate will conduct sales calls to raise dollars for, and awareness of, the American Heart Association's mission through a school-based fundraising program.

Responsibilities include:
' Conducting sales calls with existing and new clients
' Interaction with school Principals and PE Coaches
' Setting and meeting aggressive fundraising goals
' Building new customer relationships
' Servicing customer accounts
' Supporting school coordinators in their fundraising efforts
' Accurate data recording
' Daily travel throughout sales territory.

Required Skills

Required Experience

Minimum Qualifications:
The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills and ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

1. Ability to work independently and resourcefully
2. Preference will be given to candidates who live in territory.
3. Proven outside sales experience
4. Applied knowledge and intermediate skills in windows applications such as Word, Excel and Outlook
5. Ability to travel within territory 80% of the time and outside the territory 20% of the time for monthly Regional meetings and/or training
6. Ability to speak publicly
7. Knowledge of school systems a plus
8. Some heavy lifting involved
9. Valid driver's license, proof of at least minimum state required automobile liability insurance and ability and willingness to travel as position demands.
10. Ability to work outside standard hours as needed, including occasional evenings and weekends.
11. Satisfactory background checks including consumer credit, motor vehicle, and criminal history.

Education/Experience:
Bachelor's Degree and two years of field sales experience or equivalent years of experience in sales, community organization, or fund raising.
