Under general supervision of the corporate Income Tax Manager, the Senior Income Tax Accountant is responsible for preparing federal, state and local income tax returns of the Company and its U.S. affiliates. This is a key role within our Corporate Tax Department that will assist with special projects, responds to income tax inquiries and assists with income tax audits.
This position is based out of our brand-new Corporate Headquarters in Conshohocken, PA - with "hybrid" on/off-site flexibility.
Responsible for the collection of data to be used in the income tax return preparation process.
Enters data into income tax return software application (OneSource).
Prepares income tax returns for review including all relevant work papers.
Creates and maintains income tax work papers utilizing software applications such as Microsoft Excel.
Assists with the maintenance of the company's master due date listing.
Gathers information for audits, income tax provisions and special projects.
Works closely with Tax Manager to gather all necessary information to prepare and generate accurate tax returns.
Works closely with Tax Manager to validate technical interpretations.
Works with internal and external accounting associates and various taxing jurisdictions for the purpose of assisting in the tax preparation process.
Reconciles tax and financial data to the general ledger.
Works with the Tax Manager to complete income tax audits when applicable
Research,update, and documentnew guidelines pertaining to income tax laws.
Performs related duties as assigned.
Requires a bachelors' degree in Accounting. A Masters degree and/or CPA is a plus.
Requires a minimum of three (3) years directly related and progressively responsible income tax experience
Sound understanding of US federal and state corporate income tax principles
Working knowledge of income tax return preparation software packages.
Knowledge of OneSource Income Tax U.S. federal, state and international software desirable
Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
Strong interpersonal skills; good relationship building skills
Strong mathematical and analytical skills
Strong organizational skills; attention to detail
Ability to implement processes resulting in satisfactory audit practices
Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
