SET THE COURSE

Lead the overall technical solution definition, design, development and deployment for Tommy Bahama Applications while working closely with Business teams, Program Management, as well as other Solution Architects.

BE THE ISLAND GUIDE

  • Define and develop the strategic roadmap for Tommy Bahama's Systems in collaboration with the Program Management team, IT Operations, and business partners.
  • Facilitate the refinement and translation of business requirements into solutions including functional design, technical design, data storage, integrations, and business processes.
  • Ensure that solutions meet the operational priorities of security, scalability, reliability, supportability, and efficiency.
  • Own technical components throughout a project and application lifecycle, including planning, requirements, design, development, quality assurance, deployment, and operationalization.
  • Oversee technical deliverables, including review of internal and external software development resources, to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Perform duties as needed to build and maintain solutions as designed, including coding, testing, and documentation.
  • Develop and maintain solution documentation for domain area of focus (e.g., Retail, Supply Chain, eCommerce), including system architecture diagrams, integration specifications, and data produced throughout a project.
  • Collaborate with the Program Management team to scope, plan, and estimate work streams for projects.
  • Coach and mentor employees through continuous feedback, as well as clearly defined goals and objectives
  • Work directly with Vendors to stay informed of and implement product enhancements, new releases, and patches/bug fixes affecting our IT environment.
  • Participate in the definition, education, and governance of enterprise-wide architecture and development standards and guidelines.
  • Provide thought leadership for all aspects of Tommy Bahama's IT systems.
  • Support Tommy Bahama's vision and values through role modeling and coaching
  • Perform other duties as needed to help support the overall business.

ESSENTIALS FOR LIFE IN PARADISE

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, MIS, Engineering, or related field.
  • Generally, 10+ years of business and systems experience.
  • 5+ years' experience designing, building, documenting, and maintaining enterprise-scale technical solutions to meet defined business needs.
  • 3+ years' experience managing and mentoring technical team members.
  • Experience with a variety of enterprise-class tools and technologies.
  • Experience overseeing technical activities of third-party vendors and/or partners.
  • Experience working with and extending packaged software applications.

Multiple factors will vary the applicable rate of pay for this role, including an individual's experience, knowledge, and skillset, as well as work location and available budget.

Rate Range: $120,120.00 to $200,200.00 salaried
