Kay Koplovitz is the co-founder and chairman of Springboard Enterprises, a 15-year-old nationally recognized non-profit. In 1977, she became the first woman to head a TV network as Founder of the USA Network and chairman and CEO of the Sci-Fi Channel.


Koplovitz holds a Master’s Degree in Communications from Michigan State University, where she was a National Merit Scholar. She holds honorary doctorate degrees from Emerson College, St. John’s University, Michigan State University, and Canisius College. She resides in New York City.
