Are you an experienced HR professional who is inherently curious, thinks big, and who earns trust with diverse stakeholders?  Exotic Metals is adding to our HR team. You will earnestly promote equity, fair treatment, and positive employee relations while ensuring compliance with state and federal employment laws. You’ll provide comprehensive HR support in the area of retention and engagement, continuous performance coaching, pro-active issue identification and resolution, lead HR projects, conduct investigations and support leadership development initiatives.  We’re looking for you to make a difference by interpreting human resource policies and align resources and people to meet strategic goals, enhancing the value of HR solutions to our own HR organization.

 

For such a pivotal role, you’ll have a bachelor’s degree in HR, or a similar field and at least 5 years of experience in HR. You will be organized and communicative, and you’ll easily manage and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced work environment. We require a HR Professional with a track record of success achieved through engaging leadership and collaborating across multiple HR stakeholders, and who will show up every day to work hard and have fun.

You’ll get to:

  • Provide full range of day-to-day HR support to our team including employee relations, performance management, organizational development, benefits, compensation,
  • Develop appropriate human resource plans in support of key business needs in a dynamic, changing environment. Develop and or implements appropriate change management plans as required.
  • Consult with management and staff regarding HR matters and recommend programs, activities, goals, and changes.
  • Implement and monitor adherence to all organization specific Human Resources related policies, procedures and practices, act as a liaison to staff regarding policies.
  • Coordinate recruitment strategies per the established staffing process in coordination with our recruiting team.
  • Drive employee engagement through effective communication, employee events & activities.
  • Work collaboratively with employees, supervisors, and managers to resolve employee relations issues; maintain an open-door policy.

Required Experience

BA/BS Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field preferred

  • 5-7 years of experience gained through HR Generalist positions with increasing responsibility in each of the following knowledge areas:  employment, total rewards, performance management, safety/L&I, regulatory compliance, organizational development, employee relations, and HR programs

  • Experience serving in HR Generalist or similar role serving large, non-exempt employee population, preferred

  • Proficient in MS Office

  • Demonstrated experience working with HRIS

  • Commitment to protect confidential and sensitive employee and business information

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with demonstrated ability to develop effective employee communication materials and deliver effective training presentations

  • Ability and willingness to manage multiple tasks and projects in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, with unexpected requests and changing priorities

  • Demonstrated success operating as an individual contributor, as well as a member of a team

  • Ability and willingness to maintain a positive and professional demeanor at all times

  • Ability to work occasional late afternoon/evening hours in support of night shift employees

  • Ability to work independently under limited supervision and with all levels of the organization

Physical Requirements

Sit, stand and/or walk for 8 hours per day.  Occasionally lift items that could be up to 25 pounds.
