**The Details**

Pay Rate: $19 - 20 / hour

Location: The Port of Everett

Hours: Full-Time (37.5 - 40 hours per week): Variable five days a week, typically 8-hour days, weekends and evenings required.

The Spirit of the Position:

A LAZ Seasonal Flex Operations Ambassador plays a significant role in the success of the company. They are both the front line of our operations and support in our administrative offices. This position is intended for an individual who is hard working, excited to learn, and hungry for career opportunities.

What Will I Do?

This position has been developed to assist current parking management in meeting the needs of the parking program at LAZ's Port of Everett location. As a Seasonal Flex Operations Ambassador, you will be trained to perform various roles. Some days you will operate the LPR vehicle, some days you will work in the office, and some days you will be assisting with event parking.

Principal Job Duties

  • Jump in to support the team in their tasks or duties when a need arises.
  • Answer phone calls and emails in a prompt, professional and courteous manner.
  • Must be able to clearly communicate verbally in the English language.
  • Must be able to read and write proficiently in the English language.
  • Must be able to type 45+ words per minute.
  • Must present a friendly, outgoing attitude.
  • Must be able and willing to follow verbal and written instructions.
  • Must have a valid Driver's License for two or more years, and a clean driving record.
  • Weekly hours for position, possible mandatory additional hours during events.
  • Greet and assist customers when they arrive at the office.
  • Accomplish all daily admin tasks including running financial reports, responding to citation appeals, activating parkers off waiting lists, and any other additional tasks as they arise.
  • Drive the LPR vehicle through the parking lots at the Port of Everett, using the incorporated license plate recognition software.
  • Issue parking citations to vehicles when not in compliance with the parking policy.
  • Assist in setting up event signage.
  • Use your personal vehicle (mileage reimbursed) to drive to the Port of Everett's lots and perform various duties when necessary.
  • Physically walk through parking lots and check vehicles for payments/permits.
  • Assist in maintaining payboxes including replacing printer paper, rebooting, printing reports, reprogramming, and troubleshooting.

Education

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Associate degree or equivalent work experience desired.

Experience

  • Prior experience in the parking industry is preferred.
  • Valid driver's license required and must have been held the last two years in good standing.
  • Previous experience working in a fast-paced environment with high customer expectations.
  • Knowledge of Outlook, Excel, Word, Power Point and General Microsoft Office Applications.

Physical Demands:

  • Willingness to work in the elements - heat, wind, snow, rain, etc.
  • Ability to lift, push and pull at least 50 pounds.
  • Ability to stand, walk and run for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to bend, stoop, squat and lift frequently throughout a shift.
  • Ability to sit for extended periods of time in one place.
  • Ability to pivot body repetitiously throughout each shift.
