The Radisson Hotel Seattle Airport, located across the street from Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (SEA), is looking for a passionate Banquet Manager who ready to deliver exceptional service to our guests.

PAY DETAILS:
Salary of $68,000-$70, 000
We are also offering a $500 signing bonus after the completion of the 90-day probationary period.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Organizes functions and events for hotel clients o Assists guest in organizing functions within hotel ability
  • Consistently uses banquet process and follows brand standards o Schedules staff to provide coverage for banquet events
  • Communicates with event hosts/clients throughout event
  • Accurate and detailed post event billing
  • Directs banquet setup and scheduling
  • Leads Banquet Event Order (BEO) meetings on a weekly basis
  • Reviews BEO's for errors and makes corrections
  • Anticipates banquet scheduling and supply needs based on BEO's and forecasting o regularly with Sales, Catering, and Kitchen to coordinate events
  • Inspects Banquet Rooms to ensure setup meets client expectations
  • Tracks banquet supplies and makes orders
  • Reviews contracts with banquet vendors
  • Orders linens, food products, equipment, and other banquet supplies to meet department needs
  • Leads quarterly inventories
  • Develops and implements strategies and practices which support employee engagement
  • Develops and recruits the human resources necessary to achieve hotel and Management Services' goals
  • Directs the development and implementation of strategies and practices which support employee engagement throughout the hotel
  • Oversees all facets of human resources management including the recruitment and selection, training & development, compensation, recognition and performance management of the work force
  • Takes active role in recruitment and selection of qualified candidates
  • Communicates performance expectations and provides employees with on-going feedback
  • Provides employees with coaching and counseling as needed to achieve performance objectives and reach their fullest potential
  • Drives employee engagement through the creation and implementation of departmental action plans
  • Creates 100% guest satisfaction by providing the Radisson experience through performance that demonstrates the standards of genuine hospitality and exceeding guest expectations. Provides employees with the training and resources they need to maximize employee engagement and deliver Yes I Can! service and teamwork
  • Communicates and reinforces the vision for customer service to all managers, supervisors and employees
  • Creates an environment that encourages employees to provide the service brand behavior hospitality and teamwork
  • Ensures that all minimum requirements of the 100% Guest Satisfaction Guarantee are in place and understood by all employees o Ensures that the hotel delivers 100% Guest Satisfaction by developing customer feedback avenues (soliciting input, reports, etc.) and focusing management team on identifying trends and developing and implementing solutions
  • Creates an environment that provides employees with the tools, training and environment they need to deliver the service brand behavior and teamwork
  • Performs other duties as required by Management to provide 100% Guest Satisfaction and genuine hospitality to our Guest

Requirements/Skills

  • Minimum of three year of food and beverage/hospitality leadership experience required
  • High school diploma required, bachelor's degree preferred
  • Banquet, event, or other relevant experience required
  • Able to utilize payroll systems, and transferrable knowledge of spreadsheet, word processing and other computer-based programs
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays
  • Ability to obtain and hold a valid Bartender's License required
  • Must meet minimum age to serve alcohol based on applicable state law

Physical Demands

  • Required to stand, sit, and walk for extended periods of times Lift, carry, or otherwise move and use of force or exertion up to 75 lbs.
  • Use of manual dexterity of common office equipment; such as but not limited to, computers, printers, phones ect.
