Job Description

DEAis looking to add a Senior Distribution Lead to our Energy Business Unit. The responsibilities of this position will be diverse and will include a primary focus on delivering our distribution engineering services to utility clients in the Puget Sound Region. You will initially participate in delivering distribution services, maintaining existing client relationships, and mentoring junior staff. Some travel for project execution may be required.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

  • Provide design leadership and guidance to project teams and staff
  • excellence in all aspects of distribution engineering projects including team development, execution, closeout, quality control, schedule, and budget performance
  • Review engineering documents and deliverables for compliance with contractual requirements as part of DEA's Quality Management requirements
  • Work with the Substation and Transmission Practice and Group Leaders to ensure office resources are available to complete existing project work as well as work committed to in proposals
  • Coach project staff on client expectations and provide feedback on team performance
  • Adhere to firmwide tools, processes, and policies including project accounting, workload planning, revenue forecasting, contracting, and quality requirements

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university in electrical engineering or closely related field OR 10+ years of professional experience
  • Five (5) + yearsof applicable industry experience
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office
  • Strong leadership, written and oral communication, and organizational skills
