The Regional Design Consultant works closely with Design Team Leaders to oversee and lead a solid and innovative team of design professionals who are responsible for providing quality construction documents to achieve the program level design principles and standards. This position will provide dedicated architectural and interior design support related to operations, brand image, and the application of design standards.


SPECIFIC FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide direction, leadership, and support of a team of design professionals to achieve unique site-specific design goals, to include the development of prototypical designs for New Store, prototypical designs for Strategic Reinvestment, Always Fresh Design and Specifications and finally day to day support for Existing Restaurants.


Provide leadership and direction where needed to ensure stakeholders understand and support the design direction and standards.


Provide chainwide design solutions for consideration and prioritization.


Responsibility for adherence to exceptional standards.


Provide architectural and interior design direction to support Existing Restaurants.


Provide reports from various databases to assist the team in strategic decision making.


Report to the Principal Design Lead.


Travel as required to build relationships and be connected to the work.


Partner with regional support team to establish scope of work and appropriate design solution.


SKILLS, EDUCATION, AND EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor's Degree in Architecture/ Engineering/Interior Design and/or Construction Management


5 years' experience in design, construction, and project management in the restaurant industry.


Provide clear direction, leadership, and support to a team of design professionals.


Ability to plan and meet deadlines for multiple projects simultaneously.


Strong knowledge of architecture design and operations, construction principles. and understanding of generally applicable laws and regulations regarding restaurants and public use building.


Strong presentation and organizational skills.
Multi-discipline design team management experience.


Reasonable computer application skills in AutoCAD, Revit, Office, Outlook, etc.


Exceptional written and verbal communication skills and ability to convey design concepts and goals.
