Overview

The company is currently seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Technican III.

Responsibilities
QUALITY ASSURANCE TECHNICIAN

Position Summary/ Primary Purpose

This position reports directly to the Field Operations Manager, and interacts/interfaces frequently with Engineering, Manufacturing, Purchasing and other Webb entities as required. A majority of the time the QA Supervisor/Technician will be creating, conducting and reporting on quality manuals, inspections and evaluations. They will be supporting the field activities as required and will liaise with engineering, site installation teams to resolve issues. They will be required to attend internal and customer meetings, both online and in person as required and be prepared to report on progress, activities, etc. in the best interest of the project and the company.

Major Areas of Responsibility

    Document and data control activities.
  • Coordinate nonconformance/corrective action system.
  • Compile and provide reports regarding nonconformance/corrective action.
  • Compile and provide reports regarding ECR system.
  • Compile, complete and provide reports consistent with project requirements.
  • Coordinate testing and inspection requirements.
  • Support the management of the submittal process.
  • Attend meetings (QWGs, Quality Committees, etc.).
  • Meet with Contractor as required.
  • Organize quality related training classes for the department.
  • Use of HELIX Project Software.
  • Able to interact with Webb Engineering teams.
  • Punch list management.
  • Able to work during off-hours occasionally.
  • Other duties as required.

Broad Knowledge as Follows (Basic/Preferred)

  • Must be able to read blueprints
  • Must have excellent telephone, computer, and customer relation skills
  • Must be able to handle stress due to high work volume and deadlines
  • Must be able to interact with other Jervis B. Webb support groups
  • Must be able to handle multiple tasks
  • Must have good attendance
  • Mechanical experience and/or technical degree
Qualifications

Skills & Abilities as Follows (Basic/Preferred)

  • Extraordinary organization skills, able to manage priorities and workflow.
  • Possess strong mathematical and computer skills. Proficiency with all MS Office products (Word, Excel, Project, Access, PowerPoint)
  • Ability to breakdown operations into a logical sequence of activities
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Ability to work independently and with minimal structure while exercising great judgment
  • Be able to work under pressure
  • Ability to professionally operate in a fast-paced environment maintained by a company in a positive, controlled growth mode.
  • Ability to work the hours required to support the role of BHS QA Technician III.
  • Must be able to meet deadlines and put in the time needed to get the job done.
  • Effective professional oral and written communication skills
  • Must possess a strong work ethic and values that are above-reproach.
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal skills.
  • Good attention to detail with the ability to recognize discrepancies.
  • Must be able to work both days or nights on a continual shift.
  • Must have experience working with specifications and contracts.

Education & Experience

  • Minimum of a 2 year degree in technical or business curriculum, preferably a 4 year degree
  • Minimum of 3-5 years experience within an engineering /manufacturing environment or general work experience in engineering or manufacturing
  • MS Office knowledge-Excel and Word are required, Access is desired
  • Good written and verbal communication skills required
  • Statistical techniques for reporting quality related data knowledge desired
  • Ability to lift and carry documents
  • Ability to read lengthy documents and create reports
  • Ability to review audio tapes seminars and instruction information
  • Good organization skills
