Overview

TRC is seeking a Principal Geologist or Environmental Engineer in our Bellevue, WA office.

This position would work closely with Clients, Principals and Client Managers leading staff in performing remediation, investigation, monitoring, facility compliance, permitting, process, and other environmental activities to serve our clients. We are looking for an enthusiastic, flexible, and personable individual with an eye for detail, a willingness to mentor, and a desire to be part of a growing and high-performing team.


Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

  • Manage large and complex projects and provide technical leadership to ensure internal and external expectations are met for scope, budget, schedule, and quality.
  • Oversee preparation of technical correspondence, project proposals, technical reports, work plans, and project specifications.
  • Maintain and grow existing client accounts.
  • Collaborate with our internal Team for business development opportunities.
  • Lead project teams through site assessment, investigation, development of remedial strategy, and attainment of closure requirements under state regulations.
  • Manage a variety support staff conducting reporting and field tasks associated with environmental assessments, environmental investigations, site inspections, feasibility tests, remedial implementation, and subcontractor oversight.
  • Develop proposals resulting in the award of new work with clients.
  • Provide financial management of projects resulting in profitable work.
  • Build and strengthen team and staff through engagement and mentorship.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Geoscience, Environmental or Civil Engineering from an accredited university required, Master's preferred.
  • Washington Licensed Professional Geologist or Professional Engineer.
  • 20+ years of experience in environmental consulting with focus on investigation and remediation projects. Additional experience in litigation support is preferred.
  • Knowledge of Washington State and Federal environmental regulations (MTCA, RCRA, TSCA, CWA, etc.).
  • 40-hour HAZWOPER certificate (with an up-to-date 8-hour annual refresher course certification).
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and outstanding oral and written communication skills allowing for positive internal, client, and contractor relationships.

Compensation:

In accordance with Washington law, the following compensation range is applicable for the job and location associated with this requisition: $130,000 to $170,000. Compensation will vary based upon experience, education, skill level, and other compensable factors.

Salary Range

USD $130,000.00 - USD $170,000.00 /Yr.
