OverviewThe Research in Software Engineering Group in Microsoft Research seeks a Principal Researcher, specializing in one or more areas of high-performance computing, Machine Learning (ML) systems , programming languages, and formal methods. We are seeking a Principal Researcher who is interested in new approaches to improving quality, performance, and reliability of systems software on an industrial scale. Mentor others and demonstrate thought leadership when collaborating withing a diverse group of researchers, research engineers, and program managers. Collaborate to develop and test new ideas within existing or new collaborations within the group and with others. Write code to test new approaches or develop novel theoretical and practical insights. Prepare technical papers and presentations.Embody our culture and values.
