Job Description

Osborn Consulting is seeking a restoration-focused, licensed Landscape Architect to join our team designing fish passages, restored stream and river habitat, and public open spaces. This is a great opportunity for you to flex your planting and restoration design muscles and work with a variety of public agencies in the Pacific Northwest!


About the Role

Our new team member must be well-organized, thorough, and collaborative, with excellent verbal and writing skills and the ability to multi-task.


In this role, we'll count on you to:

  • Work on landscape architectural projects with a focus on restoration.
  • Collaborate with our internal team as well as our clients and co-consultant design teams such as architects, planners, engineers, scientists, and contractors.
  • Bring your passion, knowledge, and design abilities to the table to create amazing places.


Must Haves:

  • Bachelors (BLA) or Masters (MLA) degree from an accredited Landscape Architecture program.
  • Landscape Architect licensure and continuing education in areas of the industry. Washington State licensure is preferred, but we can help you obtain a reciprocal license.
  • 6+ years of experience in a landscape architectural, multidisciplinary engineering, or environmental office with similar work.
  • Strong landscape architectural design skills at various scales (site, planting, irrigation, detailing) from programming through construction.
  • Experience coordinating with design teams and clients, understanding of project permit requirements, and producing drawing/specification/cost estimate packages.
  • Experience with multiple project delivery methods.
  • Strong knowledge of Pacific Northwest native plants and habitat types, restoration planting strategies, site preparation and erosion control, grading, and soils.
  • Working knowledge and experience designing for sites in urban environments (hardscape, detailing, etc.) desired.
  • Construction administration experience.
  • Solid computer software skills in AutoCAD/Civil 3d and Adobe Creative Suite, Land F/X, and other industry software. Microstation and 3d Modeling not required but preferred. Software training is available.
  • Strong graphic skills and ability to create presentation graphics.
  • Excellent communication skills, spoken and in writing.
  • Ability to prioritize, manage time, and set goals.
  • Active interest in growing your knowledge base and professional connections.


Location

This position will be based out of our Seattle or Bellevue offices.
