Within Azure Data, the Microsoft Fabric platform team builds and maintains the operating system and provides customers a unified data stack to run an entire data estate. The platform provides a unified experience, unified governance, enables a unified business model and a unified architecture. Fabric platform Release Management team is hiring a Senior Manager, Release Management. As part of the release management team, you are looked upon to identify and mitigate risks associated with the service reliability and customer experience, communicate clearly, and set collective path forward. You will be leading a team responsible for shipping high quality platform services that enable multiple products in Microsoft Fabric offering. In your role you will be accountable to adhere to compliance and reliable release on a weekly cadence and delivering on high customer expectations. You will be collaborating with multiple partners and engineering teams globally to enhance and establish processes that increase productivity and efficiency. Responsibilities* Manages delivery success through empowerment and accountability by modeling, coaching, and caring.* Responsible for defining program and release criteria, driving release quality metrics and improvements.* Directs team in defining the program(s) goals and prioritization for the feature(s)/feature areas (e.g., product, service) they own. Helps team translate the needs of the organization and other teams into program goals and prioritized deliverables based on data insights.* Leads team to identify opportunities and gaps in the implementation of feature/feature areas (e.g., product, service) including comparison of various quality and performance metrics to various solutions.* Leads teams to define success criteria and performance metrics (e.g., Objectives and Key Results [OKRs], Key Performance Indicators [KPIs] such as quality and performance) of the feature(s)/feature areas (e.g., product, service)* Leads teams to partner with the engineering team to contribute, prioritize, and deliver on the roadmap for the feature(s)/feature areas (e.g., product, service).* Lead the team to own the engineer self- service experience and provides documentation (e.g., troubleshooting guidelines, best practices, blogs.* Embody our culture and values
