What you will be doing

Under the general direction of the Senior Director of Credit for Global Financial Shared Services (GFSS), responsible for developing and improving operational goals for the team as well as staffing, training, and developing associates.. The Credit Manager and direct reports analyze customer financial statements, review credit references and credit reports as primary points of reference in the decisioning process.

  • Provide sound credit risk ratings and credit limit thresholds that help approval stakeholders fully understand their risk / reward decisions

  • Assure the quality, soundness and timeliness of all financial analysis, underwriting and credit approval processes

  • Manage ongoing credit risk of an assigned customer portfolio with particular attention to customer, industry or regional trending

  • Facilitate timely and appropriate resolution of emerging issues through the involvement of internal stakeholders (Credit & Collection teams, Sales, Finance, Legal etc) as required

  • Prepare & recommend requests for ad hoc Promissory Notes & Invoice Dating requests

  • Supervise team of associates responsible for overall credit decisions, including granting credit and negotiating collateral and other risk mitigation options as appropriate

  • Manage a team of direct reports; delivering clear expectations while promoting a positive work environment that is challenging and engaging

  • Ensure adherence to company Credit Policy & Sarbanes-Oxley Internal Controls

  • Build and develop relationships with the Sales Team and other functional partners throughout Cencora.

  • Performs related duties as assigned.

What your background should look like

Requires broad training in fields such as business administration, accountancy, sales, marketing, computer sciences or similar vocations generally obtained through completion of a four year Bachelor's Degree program, technical vocational training, or equivalent combination of experience and education. Normally requires a minimum of three (3) years progressively responsible experience.

  • Strong judgment and ability to resolve issues effectively

  • Strong organizational skills; attention to detail
