Summary

The Compliance Coordinator will the primary point of contact for compliance matters affecting operational activities and is pivotal in managing the relationship with our internal clients. The ideal individual for position thrives in a collaborative atmosphere and will take personal accountability for decisions and actions, exercise good judgement, and be responsible for ensuring compliance execution while facilitating sales growth and organizational effectiveness. The individual who will excel in this role is intellectually curious and challenges the status quo including recommendation of superior practices. The Compliance Coordinator is expected to engage in prompt, precise, practical, and pleasant interactions with executives, managers, and internal clients.

Travel:

Position may require domestic travel to conduct audit, monitoring, and training activities, travel not to exceed 25% of working hours.

Location:

This position is hybrid upon completion of an effective, on-site onboarding period. The selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite. On-site work will be at a minimum 3 days per week.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Execute the organization's compliance-related reviews and approval flows including: Military Applications; US Export Control; Japanese End Use Control; and Complete Transactional Records.
  • Assist CMA employees in troubleshooting process and compliance issues
  • Manage library of compliance-program related documents, and associated artifacts
  • Follow-up on compliance corrective actions and improvements to ensure effective implementation
  • Conduct compliance audit and monitoring activities
  • Manage routine compliance administrative tasks
  • Identify compliance risks and develops mitigation plans
  • Create complex ad-hoc Excel sheets to provide reporting as requested
  • Back up other Legal & Compliance team Coordinator(s)
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned

Skills and Specifications:

  • Ability to strike an effective balance between showing initiative and seeking appropriate guidance and input from others.
  • Agility with new software applications
  • Basic understanding of the corporate compliance issues faced by a manufacturing company with a global distribution footprint
  • Capable of exercising confidentiality and discretion
  • Demonstrated ability to drive process improvement and best practices.
  • Expertly translates complex compliance requirements to stakeholders in an easily understandable manner
  • High sense of urgency and drive to provide exceptional client service.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
  • SME in Box.com, MasterControl, and/or SharePoint
  • Strong customer service orientation.
  • Superior written and communication skills
  • Unwavering sense of diplomacy and pragmatism in high stress situations

Education and Qualifications

  • High school degree or GED required. Bachelor's degree in business or related field preferred.
  • 2+ years of Compliance experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education, or banking.
  • 3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment preferred

Export Control Compliance:

This position must meet EAR & ITAR Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a "US Person" as defined by 22 C.F.R. 120.15 is required. "US Person" includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Position Physical & Mental Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is constantly required to sit and use hands to operate telephone, type and operate computer and mouse. The employee is frequently required to talk, hear, and bend and twist neck. The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and rarely lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and distance vision.

Wage Scale: $67,000 - $92,000 Annually
