VP | Market Manager

Provides leadership, direction, and supervision to Market staff; ensures that operating policies and procedures are conducive to maximize profitability, growth, compliance and efficiency; ensure optimum use of resources to achieve financial and sales goals, and bank objectives. The incumbent must possess a thorough understanding of generally accepted savings and lending principles and how these principles are interrelated to achieve desired results. Must be skilled in business and personal financial relationships.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Plan/implement marketing strategies to establish new Customer relationships with business and consumer clientele.
  • Participate in Community Bank activities and initiatives to drive cross-selling success.
  • Drive the sales process in the market and assist the CDO with sales goals and marketing plans for the team.
  • Provide coaching, recognition, motivation and skill development for direct reports. Including providing direction and sales strategy, coaching of sales methods to staff.
  • Represent the bank in community activities, including general networking with local businesses, as well as working with local civil and cultural activities to cultivate new and profitable business.
  • Other duties as assigned

Desired Experience

  • 10 or more years of banking and/or commercial lending experience; general knowledge of credit and overall loan process - application through funding - and legal requirements.
  • Excellent communication and impersonal skills
  • Excellent delegation skills and ability to maintain professional poise under pressure of time constraints, upset customers, frequent interruptions, etc.
  • Prior successful supervisory or managerial experience.
