Your role at Baxter

Assumes the role of Chief Financial Officer (CFO) leading all aspects of the end-to-end supply chain. Reporting directly to the Solutions Group Controller and indirectly to the Plant Leader.

This role coordinates an annual budget of $144M in value of production, $8.5M in capital spend, $13M of inventory. The plant has a workforce of 554 direct and 242 indirect employees.

What you'll be doing:

Compliance:

  • Provides oversight of all plant related GAAP, SOX and Baxter policy requirements

  • The Finance Manager has ultimate responsibility for their plant's financial records

  • Provides relevant, accurate and timely communication of financial performance (past, present, and future)

  • Includes oversight of month end closing, the submission of weekly pulses, the preparation of quarterly forecasts and the budgets (annual and long-range plans)

  • Improves financial performance through analysis, mentorship, and accountability

  • Achieves financial results as committed

  • Value Improvement Project generation and execution

  • Capital investments (on time and on budget)

  • Cash Flow

  • Operating Income

  • Manufacturing Variances

  • Actively develops the financial foresight of finance and non-finance team members

  • Identify trends and opportunities for continuous improvement (both financial and operational)

  • Develop and complete action plans to drive profitable growth

  • Support and be part of the standardization and improvement of ISC financial processes

  • Actively liaise with process business partners (FP&A COE, FPO, BBS, Global ISC) in the pursuit of more efficient and effective ways to fulfill the Finance Manager's responsibilities

What you'll bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting. MBA is preferred

  • +7 years' of validated experience in manufacturing or supply chain finance

  • Background in standard costing, budget management and capital analysis and control

  • Proven track record of identifying and implementing change

  • Has effectively communicated at all levels of the organization in both formal and informal environments

  • Experience in a global, diverse matrixed organization

  • Capable of driving a case for change by analyzing and demonstrating standard methodologies

  • Maintains a strong presence, with the ability to manage indirect reporting relationships

  • Experience working with Lean concepts and tools is helpful
