We are currently seeking a motivated Accountant with SAP experience to manage a newly acquired business in our Kirkland, Washington office. This is a new opportunity for an Accountant with extensive Cost Accounting experience to assist with the management of our SAP rollout and continuous financial analysis and support. This position will report to the US Divisional Controller. Primary responsibilities are to maintain the standard costing system with accurate product costing and inventory valuation and to analyze and validate manufacturing costs and variances as part of the month-end close process.

Responsibilities

* Partner with Controller to manage cost and inventory accounting systems, and drive improvement of COGS and manufacturing variance reporting accuracy
* Prepare cost accounting and inventory analyses supporting financial closing, and review with management monthly
* Transition certain current process into existing shared service centers currently operating within Bruker (Accounts Payable, Payroll)
* Partner with the Controller to ensure accurate financial reporting of Balance Sheet and Income Statement balances on a monthly basis
* Prepare monthly forecasts
* Support the annual physical inventory and/or cycle counting program
* Perform trending and other analyses to provide valuable financial insight to cost management
* Manage 1-3 members of the local finance team
* Operate within, and evidence the adherence to applicable internal controls
* Perform other duties as required.

Qualifications

* Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance or Accounting required
* Minimum 3-5 years recent work experience in cost accounting or financial analysis in a manufacturing environment required

* At least 1-2 years in a leadership role preferred

* Basic knowledge of standard costing principles required
* Familiarity with the monthly financial close process from a cost accounting perspective
* Experience supporting both internal and external audits helpful
* Advanced proficiency with MS Excel
* Working knowledge of medium-large company ERP environment highly preferred
* SAP experience preferred
* Strong verbal, written, interpersonal and presentation skills, with fluency in written and spoken English
* Solid analytical and critical thinking skills with strong attention to detail
* Initiative taking, hands on approach. Results orientation with a high level of professional curiosity
* Possesses leadership, collaboration, and influencing abilities, with a drive for innovation
* Valid Driver License in good standing, issued by resident state required.
* U.S. Citizenship or U.S. Permanent Resident status required.
* May be required to obtain a passport and travel internationally.
* May be required to pass security clearance investigation.

At Bruker, base salary is part of our total compensation. The estimated base salary range for this full-time position is between $83,000 and $133,000. You will have the ability progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base salary for the role will depend on a several job-related factors, including, but not limited to education, training, experience, the geographic location of the successful candidate, skills, competencies, job-related knowledge and travel requirements for this position.
