Role Overview:
Join our team as a Numerical Control Programmer and play a pivotal role in advancing our manufacturing capabilities. Your expertise will be instrumental in developing Machine Control Data (MCD), ensuring our equipment operates flawlessly to produce and inspect high-quality parts, tools, and assemblies. Your work will directly impact the efficiency and innovation of manufacturing processes in our 777 Composite Wing Center, focusing on the pre-cure/green part space.
What You Will Do:
Develop, verify, and update MCD for a range of numerically controlled equipment, including Optical Layup Templates and Ultrasonic Knife Cutting systems.
Innovate and integrate new machining techniques and manufacturing methods.
Create clear operator instructions for automated and numerical control equipment like AFPs and ATLMs.
Work collaboratively to enhance manufacturing processes and product quality.
Must-Have Skills:
Proven experience in Composite Fabrication and Techniques.
Proficiency in NC traditional CAD/CAM Systems.
Expertise in handling Trim, Drill, AFP, and ATLM Equipment.
Knowledge in Composite Tooling, including mandrels and fixtures.
Skilled in identifying defects, conducting root cause analysis, and implementing corrective actions.
Preferred Qualifications:
Pre-Cure Composites Manufacturing:
Mastery of CATIA V5, NS2/nesting, Optical Laser Template (OLT), Ultrasonic Knife (USK), Automated Fiber Placement (AFP), and Composite Tape Laying Machines (CTLM).
Post-Cure Composites Manufacturing:
Expertise in CATIA V5, Vericut, Advanced Machining Workbench, plus trim and drill of composite parts, and axis milling/machining.
