*** This position must be located in Bellevue, WA. This is a hybrid role, requiring 3 days a week in office.

This role will support the financial reporting team in the preparation of statutory financial statements (certain of which are subject to audit), and other governmental survey reporting to meet various regulatory obligations of T-Mobile and will work cross-functionally with accounting, tax, and regulatory teams to facilitate complete and accurate reporting.

The ideal candidate for this role will have a corporate accounting, financial reporting, or audit professional background, be comfortable with independent workload management (managing multiple deliverables at one time, prioritizing based on fixed due dates), is comfortable communicating data and reporting needs to accounting and non-accounting functions, and is experienced with the general structure and preparation of US GAAP financial statements.

This role will work closely with the Director of Financial Reporting and other senior finance executives (controller, CAO) in the review and certification of these financial statements.

Additional responsibilities as needed include supporting T-Mobile's quarterly and annual SEC filings and supporting the transition of the statutory reporting process through organizational and IT system transitions.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare statutory financial statement schedules and analysis.
  • Prepare quarterly and annual government surveys.
  • Partner with accounting, legal, tax, regulatory teams to establish processes and collect needed inputs.
  • Coordinate with external auditors to deliver requested support.
  • Leverage systems (BPC, Workiva, Excel, Alteryx) to automate manual processes and maintain existing processes through organizational and IT system transitions.
  • Communicate and engage across accounting teams to improve existing/implement new processes.
  • Create accurate and timely ad-hoc reports and analysis.
  • Use accounting concepts, experience, and analytical skills to resolve issues in creative and effective ways.
  • Support SEC reporting (10-Q/10-K) during peak reporting times.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
  • 3-5 years of relevant accounting/reporting experience - Audit (Big-4, preferred), corporate accounting, and/or financial reporting experience preferred.
  • CPA preferred.
  • Experience using ERP systems, business intelligence and reporting tools; Workiva, SAP ECC and BPC preferred.
  • Advanced problem solving and analytical skills, including ability to effectively collaborate with cross functional teams as well as demonstrated ability to understand broad business and financial issues.
  • Multi-task and prioritize workload based on statutorily-mandated deadlines.
  • Work independently and as part of team.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Be flexible and able to handle ambiguity.

Washington Pay Range : $81,600.00 - $110,500.00

The pay range above is the general base pay range for a successful candidate in the state listed. The successful candidate's actual pay will be based on various factors, such as work location, qualifications, and experience, so the actual starting pay may be above or below this range. At T-Mobile, employees in regular, non-temporary roles are eligible for an annual bonus or periodic sales incentive or bonus, based on their role. Most Corporate employees are eligible for a year-end bonus based on company and/or individual performance and which is set at a percentage of the employee's eligible earnings in the prior year. Certain positions in Customer Care are eligible for monthly bonuses based on individual and/or team performance, while Retail and Business Sales roles are eligible for monthly or quarterly sales incentives.
