With a focus on reliability, performance, and security, we're reshaping the future of cloud storage, and we want you to contribute your skills and expertise to our mission.As a Principal Software Engineering Manager in our Azure Storage Front End Security Platform Team, you'll lead a talented group of engineers in developing and maintaining critical components of the Azure Storage stack. Your role involves overseeing the design, implementation, and enhancement of key services, such as VM Disks, Object Storage, and Azure Data Lake Service Gen 2. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that our services meet the scalability, latency, and security requirements of large-scale storage systems. ResponsibilitiesGuides partnership with appropriate stakeholders (e.g., project manager, technical lead) to determine user requirements within and across teams.Guides teams and leads identification of dependencies and the development of design documents for a product, application, service, or platform.Optimizes, debugs, refactors, and reuses code to improve performance and maintainability, effectiveness, and return on investment (ROI).Guides team to drive multiple group's project plans, release plans, and work items in coordination with appropriate stakeholders (e.g., project managers).Guides team for Designated Responsible Individual (DRI) and monitors other engineers across product lines, working on call to monitor system/product/service for degradation, downtime, or interruptions.Leads product development and scaling to customer requirements and applies best practices for meeting scaling needs and performance expectations and holds accountability for products that do not meet expectations.OtherEmbody our Culture and Values
