We also offer 6 Paid Holidays (8 hours for full time and 6 hours for part time per event, excludes on-call staff) and 1 Personal Holiday of Choice per year (excludes on-call staff).
  • Retirement planning is encouraged through our 403(b) plan that includes a generous 100% company match on the first 4% of earnings an employee contributes. There is a 5-year vesting schedule on the company match, and minors are ineligible for the company match.

Enrich the lives of older adults through community, choice, and continuing care in the Accounts Payable Specialist role. The Accounts Payable Specialist will play a crucial role in managing the company's financial obligations by accurately processing and recording invoices, expenses, and payments. This position requires a keen eye for detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with vendors and internal stakeholders. You will provide continuing care through these responsibilities

Essential functions of this position include the following.

  • Review and verify invoices for accuracy, completeness, and proper authorization.
  • Code and enter invoices into the accounting system, ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures.
  • Process expense reports, reconciling receipts with expense claims and company policies.
  • Coordinate with vendors to resolve discrepancies and address inquiries in a timely manner.
  • Prepare and process weekly, monthly, and ad hoc payment runs, including checks, ACH payments, and wire transfers.
  • Reconcile accounts payable transactions and ensure accuracy of vendor balances.
  • Assist in month-end close processes, including accruals and reconciliations.
  • Maintain organized electronic and physical filing systems for accounts payable documentation.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to streamline processes and improve efficiency within the accounts payable function.
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in accounting regulations and best practices related to accounts payable.
  • Assist with annual cost reporting
  • Assist with year-end financial auditing
  • Other duties and special projects as assigned

Our requirements and qualifications for success

  • Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or related field preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience in accounts payable or relevant finance/accounting role.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, NetSuite) and Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong understanding of accounts payable principles, practices, and procedures.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact professionally with vendors and colleagues.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • High level of integrity and commitment to maintaining confidentiality of financial information.

Salary Range: $24.31 to $35.04 per hour
