Our client, a dynamic nationally recognized award-winning engineering firm, is looking for a Bridge Inspection Engineering Project Manager to join their growing team, managing and leading bridge inspection across the nation and collaborating with some of the top inspection experts in the industry to ensure public safety in travel across the nation. This role needs a candidate with a minimum of eight years of bridge inspection experience for local and state agencies. This is a hybrid role, with flexible hours and is a long-term, direct hire role based out of Columbus, Ohio.

Responsibilities:
Plan and oversee complex and routine bridge inspection and assessment project teams with professional engineers, EITs, and bridge inspectors across the U.S. using advanced rope climbing techniques
Responsible for documentation and reporting of bridge conditions for both routine and special assignments in accordance with National Bridge Inspection Standards and the upcoming SNBI
Mentor and train team members
Write reports and analyze load ratings of bridges and culverts working with DOT's, counties, and municipalities to assess bridge infrastructure
Prepare drawings in MicroStation/AutoCAD with recommendations to clients for needed action
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in civil or structural engineering from an ABET accredited engineering program required
PE registration in the State of Ohio, or ability to be registered with reciprocity required
8+ years of related bridge inspection, report writing and/or load rating experience required
A valid driver's license with acceptable driving history required
Proficiency with Microsoft Office required
Experience with MicroStation or equivalent CAD software, AASHTOWare BrM and/or AssetWise is preferred
NHI/FHWA Bridge Inspection and FC NHI/FHWA Certifications are preferred
Ability to climb bridge structures, withstand high levels of physical exertion walking, climbing, bending, carrying, and lifting up to 30lbs
Willingness and ability to travel extensively throughout the U.S.
Exceptional communication skills both verbal and written as well as the ability to work independently as well as collaborate in a team environment
