Summary
Field Sales Representatives play a pivotal role at Columbia Distributing within the Direct Sales team. Field Sales Representatives will be supported by cutting edge e-commerce technology to deliver best-in-class customer experience. Success in this role will be measured by sales, merchandising, service levels, and distribution goals established each month.
Key Responsibilities
- Grow sales volume with established accounts and new customers by implementing planned sales strategies, company marketing programs, and value-add services
- Answer and respond to customer requests in a timely, thorough, and professional manner
- Review customer orders and provide recommendations on order quantities and new items
- Establish and maintain high level of industry knowledge including; product details, market / consumer trends, and account types
- Understand and assist with MVP standards and quality audits
- Submit all required reporting, preplans, trackers, surveys, market surveys (MVPs), expense reports, mileage log, etc. by the required due date
- Develop and build key relationships

Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time exempt position. Days/hours of work vary & may include weekends as necessary.
Travel
Local travel, visiting multiple accounts in designated territory each day. Regular access to reliable transportation is required.
Required Education and Experience
- High school diploma or GED required
- Valid driver's license and auto insurance required
- 1 year beverage sales experience
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and industry related software programs
- Minimum of 21 years of age
Preferred Education and Experience
- 2 years general sales experience
- Working knowledge of beverage industry standards
- Previous grocery or retail experience
Compensation
- Actual compensation packages are based on a wide array of factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, years and depth of experience, certifications, and specific location.
