Manager, People Systems

Position Summary

The Manager, People Systems, reports to the Senior Manager, Planning, Transformation and People Systems, and will play a pivotal role in enhancing and optimizing our HR technology solutions, with a strong focus on SAP and SuccessFactors platforms. The Manager will bring a blend of technical expertise, strategic vision, and leadership skills to lead cross-functional working teams, ensuring systems support our business objectives and People strategies.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Lead the ongoing development, implementation, and optimization of People systems, particularly SAP and SuccessFactors, to enhance People team operational efficiency and crewmember experience.
  • Drive the integration of AI technologies into People systems to automate processes, enhance decision-making, and improve People team service delivery.
  • Collaborate with IT, People Centers of Expertise, and business partners to ensure People systems alignment with business needs and best practices.
  • Oversee the management of People systems projects, from requirements gathering and system configuration to user acceptance testing and implementation.
  • Provide leadership and direction to the People systems team, fostering a culture of innovation, continuous improvement, and high performance.
  • Stay abreast of the latest trends and developments in HR technology, making recommendations for enhancements and innovations that can drive value for the organization.
  • Take a significant role in the development of crewmembersto support their engagement, growth, and goal achievement.

Minimum Experience and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field; OR demonstrated capability to perform job responsibilities with a High School Diploma/GED and at least four (4) years of previous relevant work experience.
  • Five (5) years of experience in managing HR systems, specifically with SAP and SuccessFactors.
  • Proven experience and understanding of HR systems management and the integration of AI technologies into HR processes.
  • Strong project management skills, with a track record of successfully leading HR systems projects.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization.
  • Available for overnight travel (up to 10%).
  • Must pass a pre-employment drug test.
  • Must be legally eligible to work in the country in which the position is located.
  • Authorization to work in the US is required. This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship.

Preferred Experience and Qualifications

  • Professional certifications related to HRIS (e.g., SAP Certified Application Associate - SAP SuccessFactors, HRIP (Human Resource Information Professional)) are highly beneficial.
  • In-depth knowledge of SAP SuccessFactors, databases, and cloud technologies required.
  • Understanding of system security best practices and data privacy.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of explaining complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Strategic thinking and planning skills, with a focus on delivering business value through HR technology.

Crewmember Expectations:

  • Regular attendance and punctuality
  • Potential need to work flexible hours and be available to respond on short-notice
  • Able to maintain a professional appearance
  • When working or traveling on JetBlue flights, and if time permits, all capable crewmembers are asked to assist with light cleaning of the aircraft
  • Must be an appropriate organizational fit for the JetBlue culture, that is, exhibit the JetBlue values of Safety, Caring, Integrity, Passion and Fun
  • Must fulfill safety accountabilities as prescribed by JetBlue's Safety Management System
  • Promote JetBlue's #1 value of safety as a Safety Ambassador, supporting JetBlue's Safety Management System (SMS) components, Safety Policy, and behavioral standards
  • Identify safety and/or security concerns, issues, incidents or hazards that should be reported and report them whenever possible and by any means necessary including JetBlue's confidential reporting systems (Aviation Safety Action Program (ASAP) and Safety Action Report (SAR))
  • Responsible for adhering to all applicable laws, regulations (FAA, OSHA, DOT, etc.) and Company policies, procedures and risk controls
  • Uphold JetBlue's safety performance metric goals and understand how they relate to their duties and responsibilities

Work Environment:

  • Traditional office environment.
  • This position operates within a hybrid work model, requiring this role to be present in our support center in Long Island City, New York three days a week.

Physical Effort:

  • Generally not required, or up to 10 pounds occasionally, 0 pounds frequently. (Sedentary)

Compensation:

  • The base pay range for this position is between $81,000.00 and $136,200.00 per year. Base pay is one component of JetBlue's total compensation package, which may also include performance bonuses, restricted stock units, as well as access to healthcare benefits, a 401(k) plan and company match, crewmember stock purchase plan, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, free space available travel on JetBlue, and more.
